About an hour for Jaden to wake up. When she did she noticed that Syrus and Bastion were no where to be seen. It would seem that she was still in Alexis’ room, but she wasn’t there either.

As Jaden got out of the bed she was shocked to see that the clothes she was wearing before were now replaced with a white nightgown. Jaden assumed that Alexis must have changed her while she was past out and put her into one of her spare nightgowns.

It was a bit loose though, as Alexis was now taller than she was in her current form. She had to be careful not to trip due to the excess length. After looking around she finally found her deck which was placed on the coffee table in the middle of the room.

She picked up her deck and examined her cards. Each one of them was changed thanks to Alice’s dark magic, just as she was. For each card she looked at it reminded her more and more of her failure.

Losing a duel was one thing, but losing her form along with it was too much. How could she face everyone else in her current form? How could se even dare challenge someone to a duel. If she lost again, would the effects become worse? Or if she won would the curse transfer over to the person that lost?

There was too much going on and Jaden didn’t know what to do. If only this was just some terrible nightmare that she could wake up from. Tears started to form in Jaden’s eyes when she reached what used to be her winged Kuriboh card.

“Hmmpa!” As she started at it to card hummed like it had done many times before and out popped Kuriboh in it’s new dolly form. It’s fur had changed from a brown to a bright pink, and it sort of looked like a plushie now.

“Kuriboh?” Jaden asked as she looked at Kuriboh fly around her. “Hmmpa!” Kuriboh hummed joyfully as it flew around Jaden a few more time as and then landed in Jaden’s lap.

To her surprise Jaden could actually feel Kuriboh. As she went to touch Kuriboh she was amazed as to how fluffy Kuriboh actually was. Without questioning it Jaden hugged Kuriboh tight to her chest.

As she did she felt a wave of comfort spread across her body. It was Kuriboh’s way of telling her that she was forgive. None of Jaden’s monsters or Kuriboh blamed Jaden for her loss. They only wanted to be there to support her. They even changed their own forms to show her that she wasn’t alone.

Jaden didn’t realize that, but deep down she felt their intentions. “I’m sorry,” she said as she buried her face into Kuriboh’s fur. “I’m sorry that I wasn’t the duelist I claimed to be. Maybe I should just quit.”

“Hmmpa!” Kuriboh hummed as it turned around in Jaden’s arms to be able to face her.

“What? You don’t want me to quit?” Jaden asked while trying to understand Kuriboh like she has done many times before.

“Hmmpa!” Kuriboh hummed as it buried it’s face into Jaden’s chest, which tickled her a bit.

“Ahaha, okay I won’t quit, just please stop,” she said, unable to hold herself back from laughing. “I promise that I won’t quit so please stop,” she said while patting Kuriboh’s head.

“Though I’m going to need you to stay by my side until I can find a way to turn back to normal,” Jaden said as she held Kuriboh up in the air.

“Hmppa!” Kuriboh hummed in joy, knowing that it made it’s friend feel a bit better.

“Thanks pal.” Jaden hugged Kuriboh in her arms again, and as she did she drifted off to sleep once more.
