*1 Hour Later

“Hello again Miss Arc,” said Ozpin as Ruby and Jaune entered his office. “So have you decided what choice you will choose?”

“I thought about it a lot and I think that what would be best for everyone is if I-”

BOOM!

“Ozpin you piece of shit!”

The windows of Ozpin’s office shattered, and three Grimm came flying in, two of which were carrying a person. The first person to climb down from the Grimm was none other than Cinder Fall, the girl from Haven.

The second person was a woman with pale white skin, white hair and red eyes who was wearing a long black dress. Jaune was enticed by her beauty and felt that she was drawn to her for some reason.

“No, it’s too soon!” yelled Ozpin as he picked up his cane to try and fight Salem, but Cinder got in his way.

“Cinder be a dear and keep Ozpin occupied while I say hello to your sisters,” the white-haired woman said as she walked towards Jaune and Ruby who stand there speechless after what just happened.”

“Salem stay away from them! They aren’t yo-”

“Now, now, don’t you think it’s rude to interrupt our little family reunion?” Cinder asked as she pushed Ozpin out if the tower as they fought.

“Good, now that, that meddling man is gone, let me introduce myself. I am Salem, the Queen of the Grimm and you two are my daughters!”

“Wait what!?” both Ruby and Jaune yelled at the same time.

“There’s no way that you’re our mother!” yelled Jaune. “Stay away from us you witch!” Jaune got in between her and Ruby to make sure that she wouldn’t try anything funny.

“My, my, my, it would seem that Ozpin’s magic was stronger than I thought. How heart breaking it is to see that my two precious little girls don’t even recognize me.” Tears started to form in Salem’s eyes as she talked.

Ruby could see that her tears weren’t fake, they were the tears of a mother that desperately wishes to she her children again. She desperately came her to see them.

“Jaune, let her speak,” said Ruby as she stepped forward. “But Ruby we-” “We have to at least listen to what she has to say. There is no guarantee that is telling the truth, but we should at least hear her out and determine from there is we should listen to her.”

“Fine, but if she tries anything, I won’t hesitate to take her down,” Jaune said as she let her guard down and waited for Salem to speak.

“This brings back memories,” said Salem, as she wiped her tears from her eyes. “It’s been over ten years since he took the two of you from me. The two of your were such sweet little girls back then. It’s hard to believe that it took me this long to find you.”

“Though it can seem that some things still stayed the same after all this time. Ruby my dear sweet Ruby, always the dependable sister, always protecting sweet and rash Joan. If only your eldest sister was here with Cinder and today to be able to see you.”

“What the hell are you talking about?” Jaune asked, unable to sit through this while understanding nothing of what she was talking about. “You act as if you really knew us, and who the hell is Joan?”

“Jaune, I think that’s supposed to be you,” said Ruby as she tried to cam her down. “Maybe that was your name before.” “Before what? Listen lady, you need to start making sense or I won’t even bother listening to you.”

“Ever the impatient one,” Salem said with a nostalgic smile. “You really should listen to your older sister.”

“Older sister!?”

“Yes, in fact you my dear Joan are the youngest of my four children and Ruby is the third oldest. Though it must be hard for either of you to remember anything, after what that monster Ozpin did to the both of you.”

“I do guess though that it would be best to explain everything from here instead of trying to remise about the past. Such pleasures can be reserved for later. For now it is time for me to tell the both of you the truth.”

“I am what is known as the cursed witch, and Queen of all Grimm. For years it was my goal to destroy humanity for taking away my lover, Ozma. Though twenty years ago is when I met your father. He changed everything.”

“He filled the empty void in my heart that existed for years. He showed me that there was a better way. Then we eventually had all of you. For those next six years I forgot all about my pain, and suffering because we were together.”

“Though happiness has never been something that the world does not let me have for long. Eventually the sins of my past came to haunt me. It was around the time of your sixth birthday that Ozpin showed up and took away my happiness. He killed your father and robbed me of three of my children! I was barley able to hang on to dear Cinder before he took the rest of you away from me.”

“I spent years looking for you three, but in the end it was all for nothing as Ozpin used magic on the three of you to hid you from me. Though luckily it would seem that one of my Grimm was able to free you of the magic that keep me from you.”

“It is thanks to that I was able to find you. I am ever so grateful that your sister contacted me.”

“Sister?” Ruby and Jaune asked.

“Yes, I did mention that I wish she could be here, though that didn’t mean that she wasn’t nearby. Please say hello to your oldest sister,” she said as she pointed to the elevator door which opened and out walked Yang!

“My dear daughter it is so good to see you again,” she said as Yang walked past Ruby and Jaune and embraced Salem.

“Mother, I am so glad that you came. I was worried that you would be too late.” “Never, I would never let myself miss this chance to recuse you,” she said in a sweet voice, before letting Yang go.

“Yang what the hell is going on!?” Ruby asked not knowing why her older sister was calling this woman mom.

“Ruby, Jaune, you have to listen,” said Yang. “What she says is true. Every part of it was true. I know it is because I remember everything. Ozpin kidnapped us and separated us from you Joan. He gave us fake names, and families in order to hid us from our mother.”

“He turned Joan into a man, and he made Ruby two years younger. In addition he wiped your memories, but he couldn’t wipe mine. I was somehow immune to his magic, but that didn’t mean that he was going to let me do what I wanted. He had me under constant surveillance until now. When he wasn’t looking I contacted her to come for us.”

“But what about dad, what about mom? They loved and cared for us for ten years! We can’t forget that!” yelled Ruby.

“They never loved us! It was their job to act as if they did! The same goes for Joan! She was put into a family with seven girls, in order to make sure that she wouldn’t escape. Each one of them were adults using a cloaking semblance to make themselves look younger! She was more of a prisoner than us! She was alone!”

“It can’t be,” said Jaune n despair as she fell to the ground. “Everything was a lie. I remember it clearly now. It was all a lie to keep us docile. They feared us Ruby. They feared us because we were the daughters of Salem. Because we posses powers that they don’t. Why did it take me so long to remember?”

“It’s alright my child,” said Salem as she bent down and helped Joan to her feet while embracing her in the process. “I’m here now and I promise that I will never leave any of you alone again.”

“Ruby, won’t you join us?” Salem asked as she outstretched her arm. “Ruby please, don’t fall for Ozpin’s lies.”

“I don’t remember anything yet, but for some reason I want to trust you. I want to trust your words!” Ruby started crying as she leaped into Salem’s arms.

Her whole life all she wanted was to feel the embrace of her mother, but whenever when her fake mother would embrace her Ruby only ever felt cold. Now all she could feel was the warm of her mother protecting her, making her feel safe.

“Come, let’s get your sister and go home,” said Salem. “There is so much that the five of us need to discuss.”
