I've made the decision of the leaving the current game's format, and instead rebuild the game up in a game engine called Unity3D.

Main reasons for this is the option to make the game fullscreen, resize it by dragging, less files laying around in the folder and the fact that the engine comes with a lot of features that could add to the game at one point. But...

At first I wanted to do it in secrecy, hoping to surprise the players, but it quickly got clear that this isn't something that you do over a weekend. More like a month of work ahead of me, due to my day job and the need to socialize now and then.

We'll still have the polls for content running, but I'll likely focus on getting this built instead of drawing and writing for the old version. To those that might not want support the project while I'm building the new version, it's fully understandable to me. No one is forced in any of this.

If it could help displaying my progress, I could make a list here on which parts of the game are functioning in the new version?

Best wishes ~ Leopold

Unity is a good choice, you'll also get an option to compile Unity to WebGL/Javascript project. But it might be quite different from what you're using now. What libraries are you using for graphics and audio output now?

Well this isn't great. Too many independent developers, in my opinion, keep switching the format or otherwise redesigning their game, and never actually end up producing anything. Still, you've been more than responsible and active in the past when it came to producing updates and new content, so I'll trust you to remain so through this shift.

Btw, I like the game a lot. I think it's too underated right now and not many people know about it. But please, keep working on it, add more content, use help of other people too, and it will become as good as CoC quite soon! Really, you're engine, game mechanics, design is already better that CoC, the only missing part is lots of content and story, that fenoxo had. But he didn't make it all on his own.
