The Future of the Patreon (Patreon)

Hey guys! 

So I've been doing some snooping lately and also just thinking about how I can upgrade stuff here and there - not only my videos, but also the way I present them to you, and how you can access them.

Now for me, as a creator, Patreon is a very difficult platform to deal with at times. Tags are impossible and also buggy to search at times, and sometimes things here can just be extremely unorganised, amongst many other things. 

Long story short, I've thought of creating a personal website for all of the things that Patreon offers instead, but in a much more customised, organised, and accessible way. I could go on and on about the pro's for me and for you guys, but here are some big ones:

- Video content would be easy to access as I could embed it directly into the website itself. You wouldn't need to deal with Dropbox and it's buffering / lag.

- Patrons would pay on their own monthly cycle. Currently, Patreon charges you once the first time you pay, and then again on the 1st of the next month, regardless of when you signed up. The site allows you to have your own full month billing cycle. E.g: if you sign up on May 18, you have until June 18 until the subscription renews. 

- Currently, I pay hundreds of dollars in platform fees to Patreon every month, which means a significant portion of your pledges (and I mean significant) disappear to that instead of directly to me. Switching to a site would enable that support to reach me directly, instead of disappearing to Patreon and Paypal, etc.

- All video content would be archived if we decided to move over, so everything currently over here would be over there, and also the site would be mobile friendly.

- Payment methods such as Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Paypal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, JCB and more as opposed to Patreon's limited options.

- Tags would be eliminated with a visual and user friendly interface to help navigate posts and specific content. 

Now, I'm just experimenting right now with setting up a site in case this is something that might work. However, I'd be curious as to what you guys would think and also whether anyone has any questions.
