They explain it a little bit in LoonaTV, but basically: Heejin, Hyunjin, Haseul, Yeojin, Jungeun, Jinsoul, and Yerim all were blockberry trainees and knew each other prior to the project starting. The selection process was one at a time and it wasn’t predetermined who was first or second, but those eight knew each other in the company - some closer than others yes, but still. Sooyoung, Jiwoo, Chaewon, and Hyejoo were all trainees for a month or less prior to the debut. In their case, the first meeting between them and everyone else was pretty much during the predebut photo shooting type processes with some exceptions (Jungeun and Jiwoo being friends from their home town, Sooyoung having trained with Jiwoo in another company, etc.)

Thank you so much for this. I'm not downplaying saying that solo b-sides are one of my favourite LOONA songs. I'm not 100% sure but I think Vivid was not shot by Digipedi and maybe a couple of other videos like My Sunday/My Melody. Pretty much everything else by Digipedi. Everyday I Need You was the first time Orbits saw Jinsoul. And naturally, everyone thought that she was debuting next, after Vivi. But surprise surprise, Kim Lip came next and Orbits were clowned per usual. So many LOONA music reactions in the past year yet there are still 3 albums left lol. *insert another poll emoji here*. hehe. I could try compiling Loona content (that I know of, it's probably endless) in one place so it would be easier to choose. About Loona TV. I think it would be easiest to do it in arcs. All episodes are divided into arcs that focus on a particular member, promotion, or event. Each arc is about 20-25 ep. each (but there are some that go into 50s). re: your question about if they knew each other beforehand...yes and no? haha. A good number were BBC trainees so they did know each other. YYXY had notoriously short predebut periods though and basically met the others as they came in. If you ever watch early LTV sometimes you’ll see current Loona members blurred out in the shot if they hadn’t debuted yet. And there are other things, like Jiwoo and Jungeun are childhood friends, Jiwoo and Sooyoung had met previously and Sooyoung cornered her in an elevator to get her number, Haseul and Yerim were vaguely neighbors and used to ride the bus together before debuting, Yerim and Hyejoo went to the same school (until Hyejoo dropped out) BUT it was also during Hyejoo’s predebut so they acted like they didn’t know each other in school, which I find hilarious.

I am super sorry for this formatting but I’m on mobile: You’re right, there is a little bit more in terms of music content—the subunit album B-sides! (I think you’ll vibe to OEC’s and yyxy’s.) The first two subunits have main albums and repackages, yyxy sadly only has the one album. Also, Heej has a short live acoustic of Vivid where you can actually see her playing the guitar.

Heejin and Hyunjin were on Mixnine together as BBC representatives. Theyre the same age and have known each other the longest. those two, after M9, were definitely going to debut together so they definitely knew what was coming. Others are a lot more grey area on when they found out. Some later ones met like day of filming MVs. (you'll see some of this in Loona TV) Your unintentional puns are really good. listening to Yves "this is HEAVENly"... mhm. For me, Love Letter is it. i liked the song on first listen, now its my top "solo" b-side. Basically it being LipSoul's breakup song to each other is really good. Heejin made a now-running joke that Lip's next solo will be Breaking Dawn. (Eclipse, Twilight...) Rosy is named after Hyejoo's parents' cafe, Cafe Rosy. A must-visit for any Orbit in Korea. It started with just a small shrine for Liv, but now its basically an un-official Loona cafe. Our crunchy rapper Go Won really needs more features and main rap parts. She could rip something up, i just know it. We never get Loona gg covers, but just onfe I want to see her hit an Exy or Soyeon rap section.
