I was pleasantly surprised with this today cuz I was expecting it on Wednesday but it came on Tuesday and then I realized it's cuz the time zone difference hahah! Anyways my ranking for the episodes shown in this episode: 1. Golden Child 2. TOO 3. ONF 4. Oneus 5. Verivery I honestly think I would have really liked Verivery's performance more but they got like the worst camera angles :( like you couldn't even see the dance break they practiced in the behind the scenes clip! I was a bit disappointed about that :( But even if the camera angles were better idk if I would've ranked it above the others just because it lacked impact for me, but I do definitely think I would've enjoyed it more (not that I didn't enjoy it already). Also, you're in for a treat next episode I'm so excited! Some of the most iconic performances of the show are coming up :) Hint: prepare your tissues ;)

Some information on leaders for all of the groups for you: Pentagon - I'm sure you know this one, but Pentagon's leader is Hui ONF - ONF is a bit different with leadership, because as a group they're split into ON Team and OFF Teams, they actually have two leaders. ON Leader is Hyojin and OFF leader is J-US. Golden Child - Golden Child's leader is their eldest Daeyeol The Boyz - The Boyz leader is Sangyeon, who is also the oldest ONEUS - Oneus is actually very different to most groups, they don't actually have a leader for the group VeriVery - VeriVery's leader is Dongheon TOO - I also got very confused by who TOO's leader was, the show definitely made it seem like Chan was the leader, but it's actually Jaeyun. Out of the five performances on this episode, my favourite was definitely ONF's. As a SHINee fan, I know how hard it is to cover one of their songs, so I was really looking forward to how they would pull it off. My mind was blown, the boys did really well with it

Onf's arrangments are amazing, I even got this one on my spotify playlist 😂 and you are going to cry with pentagon, we all did

Val

during this portion of the competition oneus were also doing a comeback i'm just amazed at how they balanced preparing that performance and comeback performances. be prepared for mnet to not give oneus barely any screentime though =(( my ranking atm would be 1)onf 2)golcha 3)too 4)oneus 5)verivery.

Mansae really didn't pop off for me. I actually liked the rearrangement, the choreo and vocals were cool, but it just lacked the impact of the other stages. The camerawork also ignored the point dance that the audience watched Verivery practice before the stage so....that was weird. It was just all over the place, whereas every other performance seemed to have excellent camerawork and choreography that really made the most of the stage.

I think my ranking for the 5 who have performed so far was: 1. ONF 2. Golden Child 3. TOO 4. Verivery 5. Oneus

Yeah the show is really pushing Chan as the leader of TOO lol, but it seems like he is in charge of their performances, where I noticed that Jaeyun seems to focus more on the actual members, like, I think he was the one who decided to bring them all up to the roof and he was the one that Woongi was laying on while he was sleeping (I could be wrong I don't know them very well). It's a really interesting dynamic but I think it works well for them!

I totally agree with you! I wish VeriVery had had better camera work, but I also kind of wished they had chosen a different Seventeen song. I've noticed that bright songs don't do as well on these types of shows, especially when the contestants are male, I wish bright songs did better but they just don't for some reason. If they had chosen something like Hit, Getting Closer, or Fear, they probably would have had more impact (though I did love the Freshteen representation lol)

I definitely recommend bringing tissues next episode :')

My order would be very similar to yours. My top performance was Golden Child's, then ONEUS, then ONF, followed by TOO, and lastly Verivery. The arrangement for Mansae unfortunately didn't quite work for Verivery. Golden Child had a gorgeous and elegant concept which they executed to perfection. ONEUS' message was conveyed loud and clear in a fantastic arrangement of "Warrior's Descendant", they really are so versatile & great story-tellers! ONF was incredibly powerful & effective in their interpretation of Everybody, it's just my personal taste that placed them 3rd. TOO was very energetic, but I was a Cassie, and the song that brought me into the fandom back in 2006 was Rising Sun, so my standard and expectations might have been a bit higher than others haha.

For me... 1 ONF / Golcha - my favorite has switched back and forth a little, so they're just both here 3 TOO 4 Verivery 5 Oneus .... I think?
