Upon crashing into the forest of Nibel, Ori was chased back and forth by creatures of darkness before meeting the local indigenous sentient creatures, the Moki! But in a twisted version of this beautiful story of Spirit and Forest, The Light within the short and easily overwhelmed Ori seems to have... enticed... one of the more gluttonous of the locales. Belching up the churning Light within, this Moki seems to have taken on the role of Spirit turned Moki! On the bright side, I suppose they won't be needing a health upgrade for some time...

Believe it or not, this was an image in the making for quite some time. When I sat down to draw this, I conceptualized recreating the scene of the first meeting of Ori and the Moki.. but decided to not get too crazy with how I wanted to draw this |3

Instead, I replayed the first part of the game just to make sure I got the quote one to one correctly! "In You Shines The Light..." What a beautiful opportunity for me to snag. :3c

... And then immediately after I 100% all the achievements in the game. |3

I literally don't know what came over me - At first, I said "Aha, there's the quote, now I can stop playing!" and then the next moment I was wondering how I could achieve a deathless run of his 4 hour long game. |3 You'll be happy to know I succeeded! But anyways, back to the picture...

I decided to go for a more painted background for the image just for the sake of doing something different and fun. Paid a bit more attention to using muted and grimy colors like the majority of the mossiness of the game, but of course, as a mediocre artist, I can only do so much with the main front character looking so soft and lined |3 So I decided not to go too crazy with referencing anything, instead just making my own perspective of the scene with my own background elements. The Moki were pretty easy to draw, lovely little ferret-shaped guys with long tails and cute faces - you would be very surprised to know there are no real close up shots of their faces, so excuse my own interpretation of what the Moki's head shape looks like up close x3

The second image was more of an afterthought - it kinda looks it too. The perspective is a bit weird and wonky and I didn't really think it through that much with the background or Kwolok... So sorry about that |3 I really had no other reason to draw that other than I wanted to draw the Moki one more time with a bit of a post-vore gut as well as a big hindquarter x3 So... success I guess! It's hard to make characters who are long and wide in these perspectives... Maybe I should've taken a much more insane approach to the perspective? I couldn't tell you what I did wrong, I didn't take enough time to sketch it out properly |3

All in all, finally glad I have this crossed off my list! I love these little guys and I think the first picture looks great! :3c
