I love the quick compilation of Geto's mental decline. From Rui being shot right before his eyes, to the man who shot her beating his ass and boasting about "Being a simple monkey yet beating the best sorcerers," to being split off from his best friend, to having to constantly eat those horrible tasting cursed spirits, the trauma from all those people clapping at that little girl's death, it all stacked and stacked until he eventually popped and went all genocidal. Really makes him more understandable, even though you don't really agree with his methods. Exactly like what you said. He has a point, there is a goal and even a theoretical noble cause behind it, it's just his methods are awful and irredeemable in killing all non-sorcerers.

Hey, Curtis! Not sure if you realized it, but the one in the morgue was Haibara, Geto's underclassmen he was talking to before his fateful meeting with Yuki and Nanami's sorcerer partner. His death was truly a catalyst in this show. It was one of the causes of Geto's downfall and is also why Nanami retired for so long before coming back just in time to train Yuji. His bubbly personality is also why I and many others personally think Nanami took such a shine to Yuji, he reminds him of Haibara. He's also the reason Nanami is so adamant of keeping children from fighting too much. He doesn't want them to end up like Haibara. Such a small role, with such a big impact.

Aeco

Movie 0 takes place in between our time to which we now return and the Gojo/Geto flashback. If you want to find out what happened to Geto (and who Okkotsu Yuta is), you should watch it at some point. This season proceeds with the assumption that you have, so you just need to ask if you want clarification on some stuff. The little girls Geto saved from those awful villagers he massacred are featured in it as well, now as teenagers.

There are 4 Special Grade sorcerers. 1. Gojo 2. Geto 3. Yuki 4. Someone you haven't met yet. Compared to Grade 1s, they're on a different level. Also, Gojo is strong enough to kill every non-sorcerer in Japan within a week, something Geto is going to have to take years to accomplish. So telling Geto that it's "impossible" is a bit condescending, albeit indirectly.

I hate when shows do that, how are you supposed to know to watch the movie if no one tells you that it's canon. I wish they had gone with the Demon Slayer route and split the movie in episodes to go along the next season!
