Walt is the ultimate schemer, but making a bad read on Mike is gonna get the crap beat out of ya!

Lord Baldur

To this day, I still think that Jesse's house is a representation of his mental health, which is something to pay attention to in later episodes.

Brother E

This episode really highlights the internal struggles for each of the characters. Walter - desperately clinging on to living and willingly to do anything to survive, but he realizes that Heisenberg can’t control every situation Jesse - running away from facing reality by pushing himself into the deepest corner of his “social circle”, at the end realizing he is all alone and needs to confront his circumstances. Hank - isolating himself with his “mineral” hobby, thinking he is actually doing some investigation but when truth is he can’t even get out of his own bed. Marie - emotionally abused by Hank and still trying to keep herself composure because she loves Hank I actually never seen you flip on a character as quickly as you did with Hank especially how he treated Marie. Mike - I think he has some reflections about Gus but he is reserved and wise enough to know he can handle himself and not get into any trouble especially since he has a granddaughter. Skylar might be the only one with no remorse, she seems just invested in the money and really didn’t seem to care about Walt or anyone else.
