That was a fun reaction. And yeah Mazinkaiser lives up to it's name. Also, if remember from the Getter Robo Retrospective, the creator of Mazinger/Mazinkaiser etc was the mentor/coleague/co creator to Getter Robo's creator. Both Mazinkaiser and Getter Armageddon were made by the company Brains Base and both were done by Toei (Dragon Balls anime producer) in the 70's. So you can see the similar style and and creep/monster factor to everything, including the mecha.
