Wow! When Chrome told me, years ago, that she was going to sponsor a Magical Girl anime, I was intrigued, but a bit skeptical. This ended up being sweet, fun and had a truly enjoyable story!... What a great time this has been!

It's such a sweet ending, Sakura and Syaoran are so nice together, the card at the end was an entirely new one made from her own magic and feelings, it's called "The heart" it's what let her finally realize how she felt about Syaoran, it's different from the manga's ending but I still really like it. the song at the end is the anime's third opening theme, it's one of my favourites. I'm going to leave some details out, because we still have one more episode next month, it's a more faithful adaptation of the manga's ending, it was released 17 years after the series ended, and it was released just before the sequel series, Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card came out, I think you'll really enjoy it. Tomoyo actually realized really early on that Eriol wasn't a threat, because of his eyes, he always looked at Sakura and Syaoran with kind eyes, never doubt her intuition lol, also It's not as clear in the anime, but Eriol and Mizuki are actually a couple. Clow's wasn't able to predict matters of the heart. He never expected Sakura and Syaoran, or Yukito and Toya, to fall in love. His plan was to have Sakura with Yukito/Yue to make them happy, but everything worked out in the end. I'll summarize Eriol's reasons for you from the manga, I already mentioned last time that Eriol and Sakura's father are both halves of Clow's soul. you can't split your own magic, you need someone more powerful then yourself to do it for you, so Eriol needed Sakura to surpass him to give Sakura's father half of Clow's magic, so he would no longer feel isolation from being the most powerful, once she was able to transform all the cards into her own, she'd become stronger then Clow. Sakura was never in any REAL danger, Eriol was always there to step in if it ever got too bad, but he needed Sakura to think she was in danger to push herself to grow stronger, if she didn't, she wouldn't have the magic to transform the cards into her own, and the spirits inside them would eventually die from having no energy left. Also Sakura is now the most powerful in the world, and Eriol says that if she wants she has the power to see the future itself, as well as gain powers beyond even what Clow could have imagined. Ok this is probably the biggest thing that I'm shocked they never addressed, but after Fujitaka, Sakura's father was given half of Clow's magic, he gained the same 6th sense to see spirits his children do, meaning he was finally able to see his wife Nadeshiko as an angel, there's a few pages of them near the end of the manga reuniting.

Wow! That part with her dad is really cool!... This whole thing was an absolute delight! And, in a case like this, I SO wanted things to end happily, and they certainly did! Amazing, fun and ultimately satisfying show. I'm anxious for next month now! Thanks again for sponsoring this, Chrome! 😊

The real question now is what's next. Fingers crossed for Sailor Moon.

Chrome

Sailor Moon Crystal is pretty high on my list of what I might sponsor next actually, that or I sponsor a game or the Burn the Witch anime.

I was thinking the OG Sailor Moon

Brother E

Yup agreed, the Viz Dub on Hulu was done amazingly well. I think it's on par with the Japanese.

since we can do movies with timer reactions, it's more Crystal I'm leaning towards, like we can break the last few movies up into parts as a timer reaction, and despite some animation issues I like Crystal
