The ladies of Lobelia seem pretty obnoxious, but there was no way they were getting Haruhi away from her crew!

This is probably one of my top favorites from the series, that scene from them all dressing up as girls I laughed so hard until my sides hurt. No way could I keep a straight face that long like Haruhi, I don't know if I was more surprised or not that they got Kyouya to actually dress up, but god damn I think he was the best-looking one out of all of them. Be honest Curtis, who would you say you would be the best-looking one?

Thanks for sponsoring this series. It's one of my favorites.

This was definitely an excellent episode! And as far as favorites, how can I not love Tamaki?! 😁

Awesome reaction as always Curtis and great episode! I feel your pain with the old crunchyroll issues... it cuts off on me too. Dial-up internet (from the 90's) provided smoother service than crunchyroll/funimation does these days haha.

so the Zuka club the "White Lily League" name is actually a play on the Japanese world Yuri, meaning girls love or lesbian. They're pretty on the nose with it lol, Lesbians and gay relations in general are pretty common in Shojo series, because of the romance themes used. The anime only had one season, so they weren't really able to delve too much into the twins and others backstories like the manga does, but you should learn a little more about their history if I remember right. yeah those issues with Crunchyroll are pretty unacceptable, like that was getting comical at the end.

I feel like I saw this episode in a new light today. When the hosts start to act so indifferent to the Lobelia girls, they start taunting them, interpreting it as sulking because all their usual "charms" don't work on this new trio. I think it really highlighted an interesting contrast between the clubs though. Obnoxious as the Lobelia girls absolutely are.... Everything they're saying is genuinely how they feel. Meanwhile, our host club is almost like a game. Tamaki is certainly genuine about making people happy, but for most of the boys, these crafted personalities are something they step out of once the hosting hours end... Exploring who they really are underneath that-- like we're getting to with the twins-- is part of what makes this show so great and well-loved.
