At some point I'd recommend watching the 2 short films of this that Trigger made, the first was part of some contest or something for up and coming animation studios and the 2nd one was kickstarted, it's what really got them noticed and they came out just before and after Kill la Kill which was their first series.

Chrome

Little Witch Academia is a great smaller series, Akko is really fun and energetic, and the animation has a ton of life and personality in it, I mean it's by studio Trigger and you can tell, they're the same studio that made Kill la Kill and Cyberpunk Edgerunners. It's a little less of a typical magical girl series, but it still has a lot of the same tropes and concepts. Also, sucy is... fun lol, if we do continue this later I wonder what you'll think of the characters. I won't guarantee anything right now, but it could be something we pick back up later this year once we finish the original Sakura series maybe, we'll see, we've still got half a years worth of episodes till then.
