Andy Plays All Night

The director basically directed their universe's version of Honey & Clover and Ghost in the Shell, and then his next work was a project that had a multitude of delays leading to episode 4 being a recap episode. Kitano at the bar in ep 5 is a refence to the Ichrio Itano - an animator that has a style of action scene he developed named after him by fans. Basically the scenes usually involve aerial combat and a buttload of missiles being launched at a target. Idepon is also a reference to an 80's mecha anime Space Runaway Ideon. 😆 I'm sure each episode has a lot of real life references, though a good number fly over my head and I'll learn about it in forum discussions

Even without me knowing the specific context of the references, it was still a lot of fun seeing each of them reminisce about anime that had meant a lot to them... I really like every element of this show! 😊
