Incredible arc, as always. Now just so you are aware, the next collection of episodes happened before all these serious arcs actually happened in the manga. It's gonna be full on comedy again for a bit, which for some was quite annoying but personally I found it to be a nice change of pace after so much nerve-wrecking episode after episode.

I didn’t. They leave you on a great cliffhanger and then go to a comedy season of the show(which, even in a vacuum taken on its own is easily the worst season of Gintama). Ruins the momentum it had going. Also considering the fact it’s not the way the mangaka intended the story to progress and there are some characters that went through huge character development in the past arcs come back and act like nothing happened makes it jarring.

I didn’t have any issues with that. It was nice to revisit the more lighthearted Gintama after all those serious arcs being thrown at us. Made me realize how much I missed that
