One of my favorite things about Roof Piece is that it's one of the few major fights involving actual teamwork and combination attacks in the series. There have been a couple before such as Law and Luffy vs Don Flamingo but this one really takes it to a new level.

I think the best aspect of this entire battle is the collide of ideologies between Kaido and Luffy. I feel like every thing Kaido stands for and makes proclamations about there you have Luffy challenging him every step of the way. They’re both having fun contending with one another. It’s a great setup for Luffy’s imminent rise, sort of a passing of the torch storyline taking place. Also despite how amazing these fights on Wano have been, there’s been some backlash from the community. Some people don’t like how the animation is depicting everyone having ‘glowing auras’ and ‘flying’ during battle. They claim it’s a spoof for Dragon Ball and makes the battles too flashy. I personally don’t get that vibe and love the aesthetic of adding the auras, it’s a cool add on to make these battles more impactful. We’re nowhere near the end of the series and the battles are only going to get more intense, so it makes to me that at some point our characters are going to reach (as you put it) ‘the next level’. So this war is that perfect transition point for the intensity as more stakes are on the line.

People complain about the side fights, which are important, and whined about wanting to stay on the roof as if Luffy ever finished the big bad before the other's finished their fights. You can't please people.

RIP(piss and pieces) Orochi, A true piece of shit and the False Shogun. So glad the Akazaya Nine saw him as a nothing and just told him to step aside. This was not vengeance; this was justice.

Alcohol poisoning speedrun: Take a shot every time Curtis says "this fight!" It's also very funny to hear you say Luffy brushes off Kaido's attacks, then see him get absolutely smacked into the ground a few moments later. His endurance however has massively increased, no doubt about it. Unfortunately Luffy also has a tendency to push himself too far, hopefully it doesn't catch up to him. He has the advantage of teamwork though, which is very nice to see in this series of usual 1 v 1's
