I'm REALLY liking the Vox Machina crew! But now that Blue Dragon's been eliminated, what will the arriving guests bring?

I love how krieg murders a high ranking government official in front of them and all vex cares about is how Krieg was so damn stealthy in his armor. Also Vox Machina vs doors will be a recurring bit throught the series

The first 2 episodes were kind of a prologue just to introduce the setting and characters, the main plot starts next episode. Some random facts: Dragons are highly intelligent (usually because they live so long so have a lot of experience) but there are many different types, some of which are quite friendly to humans. And on top of being super strong physically they are natural magic users as well (thus being able to disguise themselves as other races). In general the colored dragons (blue, green, black etc) are more hostile while the metallic dragons (brass, bronze etc) are friendly. Scanlan is a bard, which in the D&D universe are magic users in addition to being musicians, usually more supportive magic rather than shooting fireballs and stuff. They are actually considered one of the best all round classes thanks to their mixture of spells and having excellent skills. Season 2 should be finishing airing right around when you finish season 1 so you'll be able to go straight into it without waiting.

You forgot the most important fact about DnD dragons, due to knowing how to polymorph, they are able to and will fuck absolutely anything

I'm gonna take a moment to gush about this series a tiny bit because, similarly to castlevania, i didn't think the adaptation would work well yet it ended up working superbly so it shot up right into my favorite shows of all time rankings. What really sets this series apart though is that it wasn't made up and written by a writer for a studio to animate, its narrative doesn't truly follow a generic writing style made for TV shows, western or otherwise. It was adapted out of a DnD campaign, every event and fight was adapted as it was played out by the actual people who played it. There is some filler added for dramatic effect in the show obviously, however they kept it true to the original in a way that really showcases that. Every mistake, every success, every stupid idea, every comedic moment and yes, every death. Because in DnD your character doesn't get to reload a save, its all tabletop so when the character you're playing dies, they're dead. There are of course revivals and divine resurrections ect, but they all have a chance to fail, and its that risk that makes tabletop and by extension this show so exciting. The Brimscythe arc that we just went through was cut shorter than it was during the campaign, but thats fine because it was mainly meant to serve as an introduction to the crew. Now we move on to the meat of the series, so to speak, and i'm very hyped for it. Season 2 should be wrapping up this friday, so we'll be able to move right on to it as well

Next episode defiantly sets up the rest of the season, and telling you now you will see why Percy, the white hair with the glasses, is one of my favorite characters. Honestly it probably says a lot about me 😂😂

A rule I've recently learned as a Dungeon Master (and from my own experience as a player), you can only give the players so much gold. Before they lose any motivation to adventure. So you need to come up with alternative rewards so the promise of large amounts of wealth don't become pointless to the players. The awarding Vox Machina titles and a keep is a much better reward. Other alternatives might include important information that advances the plot. Magic Weaponry to kill particularly difficult opponents that sort of thing.
