a lot of the characters you'll meet in this series are basically an alternate universe version of existing characters, so this Sakura and Syaoran aren't quite the same as the ones you know from Cardcaptor Sakura, it's basically what if the characters grew up differently, that's why you're starting meeting to meet different versions of the same character again like the two in this episode, there are a few characters who are the same version as their original series like the dimensional witch from near the start who's actually the exact same character from xxxholic and not just an alternate versions, but they're pretty rare in this series, it's fun seeing these what if situations of how characters would be if their lives were a little different, Clamp's played with different universes and timelines a few times in their series.
