Infodump -So the Kansei purge is based on the Ansei purge, an event that took place in Japan from 1858-1860 in which people who opposed the Shogunate’s policies were imprisoned if not outright executed. The IRL person based on Yoshida Shoyou, Yoshida Shoin was one of those. -Oboro calls himself the Yatagarasu, which is a mythical 3 legged crow that is a messenger for the Shinto/Japanese gods (or in this case, it’s a metaphor, with “god” being that POS SadaSada).
