Nothing happened to it. I explained it all over at the YouTube channel. That is a YouTube series that I post the full reactions to here. Because I was on vacation last week, the schedule over there wasn't as full as usual, and some of the shows wouldn't be back until this week.

you know re-watching the anime makes me realize just how much they play up Ranma and Akane's antagonism towards each other compared to the manga, like in the manga it still exists to a degree, but honestly they fight a lot less and when they do it's usually shorter. Also in episode 26 there was a little Lum cameo from Urusei Yatsura, she was on the shirt of one of the spectators, there's actually a lot of little things like that throughout the series since Ranma was the next series Rumiko made after Urusei

Honestly I think I tend to enjoy mouse more then shampoo herself, thats true of most of the main suitors counterparts of the opposite gender for me though as I dont tend to enjoy people intruding upon relationship character development between the main pairing in most shows. Though of said counterparts mouse is the only one to show up by the point in the manga the anime had covered up to.

she was working on both of them during Urusei Yatsura actually, that's why I said it was the next one after Urusei, cause it was the next after she'd finished that series, Maison Ikkoku finished the same year as Urusei and Mermaid Saga was more of a sporadic side project. I should have probably specified that better lol
