Finral was born a noble just like Langris so he has a lot of mana. It's just that he can't use it in the form of attack spells so people in the series & Finral himself call him weak. But he's really not. A single magic reinforced punch from Finral dropped Langris after he arguably powered up.

I wasn't too bothered if Langris' parents died, they were terrible people. Same goes for the king. Langris is a mental mess, but there is still a chance to save him. Despite how horribly he's been treated, Finral still loves Langris. Kind of akin to Noelle and her siblings, though I at least respect Nozel, even if he's still douchy. Jack is a lot like Zora in that he has a villainous look, but he's not malevolent in any capacity that he'd willingly hurt someone(like a citizen) for the giggles of it, unless of course they give them a reason to. There is something slightly significant about that elf boasting to Mimosa and co., I don't recall if I am misremembering something, but eh we'll find out later on.

Ok this episode dropped another little detail of the reincarnation spell and it's a detail that Patry seems to be aware of since he mentioned it at 18:98. Apparently, a side effect of the spell is malice... that's one whopper of a side effect. Like everyone who is possessed are more bloodthirsty. This might be what that poison spell guy and Luck were talking about when they were released from the spell.
