Just FYI, they were talking about ki and such but Seikūken isn't a force field or anything, it's just a technique that gives the fighter full awareness and the ability to deflect attacks within a certain range around them. Basically an extremely flexible defensive style that can deal with most attacks regardless of the technique.

think zone defense in a fighting game , A fighter exerting control of a certain area around them with defense and counter attacks by reading an opponnents intentions through extreme focus and control of ones own body and spatial awareness

I am hoping the First Fist does have a secret reason for why he's so sore about the pin that isn't because of a chance encounter with a pretty girl because of the pin. This guy is the biggest antagonist Kenichi has fought and even has a personal connection with him. It would suck if the writer had his sole motivation being connected to a pin and a pretty girl. I'm trying to hold out hope that there's more to it than that but so far, I don't feel very reassured.
