Not only do Yami and the untainted have to take out these jacked-up elven beasts, they need to do it with limited damage to the bodies!

I dunno if you've caught on because the show sorta glosses over it. Last episode when it showed the history of the elves, it showed that Licht My Nuts isn't the real Licht, but a young boy named Patry who assumed his identity after being resurrected. I was pretty confused about it my first time watching through so I wanted to clarify it just in case. Basically Patry idolized the crap out of Licht, so after Licht used that reincarnation spell, he felt like he had to become Licht in order to lead the Eye of the Midnight Sun to resurrect the rest of the elves.

Damn, The Lord of The Rings cosplayers really came out in force today... This isn't a slight against the show, but I genuinely hate self-righteous people, or rather their inherent self-righteousness. I get that the Elves were done dirty and what happened is a crime that no amount of justice can rectify, but they're as blood thirsty as the humans that killed them. I can respect a focused cause of revenge, but a blind vendetta just creates a plague of scars and hatred. All the Elves will get out of this is scorched earth.

Man....we are so damn lucky Sisgoleon was not a perfect match for an elf. Imagine her already OP magic power buffed even further. I think it's safe to say we'd be royally fucked. Also note how before this we lost Julius. Meaning, they took out the one guy who could have dealt with this whole issue quite easily with his Time Magic. They legit took out our greatest asset. That's one good way to raise them damn stakes.

Her, Yami, Nozel, Zora, and Asta are our best bets at the moment. We lost Gauche, Luck, Marx, Rill, Yuno, Klaus, Hammon, Charlotte, and who knows who else. It also does not help that the elf soul possession amplifies the magic of the afflicted. We're also still down Julius and Fuegoleon. The Eye may have lost Vetto and Fana, but they're at the apex of their power right now. Yeah the stakes are at their peak in this saga.

As long as Bah-Ha isn’t amongst those that are turning into elves then there’s still a fighting chance. If he did it would be game over 😅

Ok so here's a "short" rundown on how this spell seems to work. Due to the genocide of the elves seemingly committed by the Clover Kingdom of the past (or at least that seems to be what the elves believe) and thanks to Real Licht's resurrection spell all of the elves' souls were left floating around the clover kingdom. Maybe their land was built over by the Clover Kingdom or the spell moved their souls to the clover kingdom. Either way we now have a bunch of elf souls floating around with a couple like Petra's entering and possessing the body of a Clover Kingdom citizen. Petra upon awakening realized that a lot of the Elf souls have not made their way into a host body like he did, he was one of a kind. However, this would not stay this way, over time these souls would make their way into their host bodies and Petra was then able to recover three of them, those being the three Elf members of the Eye of the Midnight Sun. Now Cutis, I don't know if you remember this but way back when Licht had his fight with Asta and friends in the cave he actually protected Gauch. This was because, as we know now, he carried the soul of an Elf, Petra couldn't let the host body die or his kin would have been unable to resurrect when the time came. The rest of the souls however for some reason (I don't remember why) could not be recovered like with these three. This is what the Magic stone ritual is. Here is the meat and potatoes of the spell, Petra needed all of the magic stones and a ton of human sacrifices. This is why Petra put on his fake Licht persona where he acted like a caring and compassionate leader in order to gather human followers who he would mark as sacrifices. He then activates the spell when he gets the stones, and all of the human sacrifices are spent to fully resurrect the elves who completely possess their host bodies. These host bodies seem too also regain their magical potential as Elves seeing how much stronger the Resurrected Elves are compared to what the host bodies used to be able to do.

i wouldn't recommend anyone who hasnt seen the entire arc read the above comment, its completely spoilers from top to bottom and will be explained soon, in a much more crucial time, kind of lame

Anonymous

Not really. All the comments above are alright. Their all pretty much just a recap/summary of the last 3 episodes with a bit more clarification.

Nate D.

bro tf u mean, they haven't explained the details of the spell that brought the elves back, just the bare basics, but, they do, in full detail, hence, the essay above is a spoiler, and hes acting like he doesn't know whats going to happen/be explained, theres a huge "hint" (spoiler) towards a massive twist that hes pretending not to know of as well, that one hint is enough for me to want to warn people not to read it

Sean PaulT60

All of the info I displayed is stuff we have already seen; we know Petra is in a fake Licht body, we have already seen how the spell works and what is needed for it. The sacrifices and the necessity of the stones has already been revealed as has the fact that Elves have possessed several individual and enhanced their power. Everyone who watched up to this point know that there was a resurrection spell activated and that all of the elves' souls went into humans, many of which were from the clover kingdom. Guess what, I have watched the arc before but that was WAY long ago. I quit watching a couple years go. I didn't even remember the Petra twist. I made a comment in one of the previous reaction videos talking about Licht becoming a bitter hateful man after the genocide. I didn't say that to hide the Petra twist, I said that because if forgot the Petra twist, I just assumed Licht was a hateful man after the genocide. Aside from all that, I'm annoyed you didn't try to talk to me about it. Try and convince me what I said might spoil something. I'm reasonable, if you convince me what I said was a spoiler, I would have edited it so it to be less so or even deleted it. Instead, you make a massive statement below my comment warning people on what you think my intentions are, being as bad faith as possible when a simple reply could have made this a lot less toxic and argumentative. So, I'm gonna extend that offer again, what spoiler do you think I have revealed or hinted at? If you convince me, I will either edit it or delete it outright if it is that big an issue.

Nate D.

Because if I commented below you, the chances of someone reading my warning before reading your comment would be slim to none, at least this way I have the slightest chance of saving someone's experience. I can't just say "xxxx is a massive spoiler and not just the 10000 iq speculation hes claiming, because that would be ruining things for others", I'm just simply trying to warn others to avoid your comment because there is a massive spoiler, and if you read your comment back you should be able to find it, it's not the Petra twist or anything we have been hinted at so far

Sean PaulT60

I have read it back two times and I still haven't spotted this Massive Spoiler. Everything I have said from what I understand is stuff we have already learned from the story so far. Curtis even read and commented, and he seems to not have spotted anything that spoils anything in the future. Could you please be more direct on what specifically is being spoiled because at this rate no one is gonna know if there's an actual spoiler in there or not since my replies will no doubt get mixed in with this message. Like at least point me to a paragraph that has the spoiler.

DevilJynx

Yeah Idk what your deal is, Sean did not spoil anything Curtis does not already know or should know.
