Kenichi is the reason i did karate in college. I definitely became a better fighter, but i didnt have girls like Miu and Renka fighting over me 😔

It's such a shame that Renka doesn't get involved in the actual plot outside of side stories like this until the arc in the manga after the anime is finished

It is but she isnt a "main team" main character so I feel it's still pretty alright. She still got an entire episode about her like this towards the end, it could be a lot worse. And the manga wasnt written to end where the anime does so in that way it cant be helped sadly... She also has an extra chapter about her, I dont know if you've read it :)
