Julius last line of the episode hits so hard after he straight up obliterates Licht's attack. "I've seen your future. You cannot defeat me" is so chilling from someone who literally uses time magic.

While I absolutely despise Licht, I do love William still. A lot of people take this scene as William choosing Licht over Julius, but the truth is, he knew sooner or later this confrontation has to happen. He’s essentially forced to watch the two people he loves most try to kill each other, and he ordered the conversation with Julius so he could more or less rip the bandaid off. I can’t imagine how much pain he’s in.

Basically, this scene shows that William has basically accepted that "whatever happens, happens". He knew this would happen eventually and I always took it that what he said to Julius before he let Licht take over were so form of last words just in case Licht lost and died (which would kill him as well). He feel indebted to both on an equal level and can't personally pick a side. As such, he'll let them choose his fate. In his mind, if he dies, he dies. If he lives, he lives. His fate basically hinges on this confrontation and he's ready for either outcome.

So since the cat is out of the bag, back when they caught the Purple Orca's captain for selling out info to the Midnight Sun, Raia popped out from a corner and told the audience to guess which captain he posed as in a sort of breaking of the 4th wall. He was posing as a fake Vangeance. So that mystery has been solved too =D Also.... Julius: Et tu Vangigus?
