oh nice more Ranma, yeah we're definitely a decent way through the series already, if I remember right this is where it starts to pick up as well, early on they kind of loosely followed the manga and add filler, honestly I'd say the changes they made were for the worse and is why they needed to cancel and semi reboot the anime behind the scenes starting in season 2, like Kuno's little ninja servant the last few episodes wasn't from the manga, there was actually a different character who became recurring in that story, plus Shampoo wasn't apart of it till the end of that story, also I've always liked Shampoo as a character she's just fun and her and Ranma are entertaining together.

I dont think either gosunkugi or sasuke add much value either way and I think there is a good deal of appeal to the introspective slow beginning ranma had, granted I dont like shampoo whatsoever but her grandmother certainly instigates interesting stories like this one

I loved Shampoo in the manga. She remains my favorite character. Her personality is great. They changed and/or minimized her presence in the anime, if I remember correctly. The other one I liked is Fuu, who they replaced with another character in the anime.
