Given the age gap between Noelle and Mereleona, Mere seems more like an aunt than an older cousin to Noelle. Not sure if you remember but the Vermillions(Crimson Lions) and Silvas(Silver Eagles) are blood relatives. Mere is I think in her mid 30's roughly. She is the eldest of the the Vermillion children while Leo is the youngest. He and Mimosa are roughly close in age though. Once again, however, The Vermillions are showing that of the three royal families, they're the best and most deserving. Fuego is an encouraging mentor figure and a badass, Mimosa is a sweetheart, Leo is a loud mouth but he's a good natured guy, and Mereleona pushes people to become stronger through negative reinforcement. She talks down to people to make them want to prove her wrong. She does not wish to make people feel inadequete, quite the opposite in fact, she just makes a statement and says "prove me wrong."
