Hey, Gang...

Patreon just hit me with the option to change our billing to have your membership renew on your monthly anniversary date, rather than hitting you when you join, then once again at the first of the month.

This seems like a GREAT idea to me, but I wanted to get you guys' input: Thinking back to when you first joined, would you have preferred this? Also, I know some folks pop in and out and catch up on things. This would be better for you, too, right?

I don't see any downsides, but I just wanted to check with you guys before I implemented it to make sure I wasn't missing anything.

EDITED TO ADD: I forgot to mention: To those of you who are already here and stay with me every month, you wouldn't even notice a difference. You'd only experience it if you left for a bit, then came back. 😊

Speaking as a G100, I'd say the old way is better. Because the G100s sponsor videos it would be unfair to you Curtis to have you make a video for a month without us paying

Mighty Snake

I mean given how long I've been here I'm ok with either date, I honestly wouldn't notice much

SpazBoysComedy

No, it'd be okay, Willie. The person would still be paying. They would just have a different renewal date... It'd be a little more bookkeeping for me, but no big deal. 😊

Appreciate you asking our opinion!

Out of ignorance and curiosity what do you mean exactly by Anniversary date is that the date of a month we initially signed up to The Goosh?

WhateverIFeelLike

Personally the first of the month is easier since I support multiple creators and it means I only get one bill and can pay everything all at once

Anonymous

Correct it would be the date of the month you signed up and would renew on that date every month after. So if it was the 29th then it would renew the 29th of every month. This is better because if someone new joins on the 29th then they wouldn't have to pay again on the 1st of the month like they would have to right now if they signed up.

Ahh thank you but now I'm curious what if one was to sign up on the 31st of a month that would contain it what would happen for the other 30day months especially February?

Henchman Twenty1

You'd probably get more new subs the new way instead of folks thinking they'll wait until the beginning of the next month to sub and then forgetting about it. They should have done this a long time ago!

SpazBoysComedy

Typically, billing companies just substitute those dates with whatever day is the last of the month. 😊

SpazBoysComedy

Ah, gotcha… Of course, you’ll still be set on the first here, but I completely get what you’re saying.

SpazBoysComedy

Good point… I agree; this is definitely something that should have been implemented long ago!

I personally prefer the yearly subscription I'm old so sometimes I forget that I'm subscribed to ye lad. With this i know I'm covered for a whole year Would have used this option if it had been available when I first subscribed to ye lad So I'm a for it

I once let my hormones get the better of me and subbed to a young Korean woman's Patreon, then remembered that there was only three days left in that month, for which I was charged for the full month, then rebilled four days later for the next month. D'oh‼

SpazBoysComedy

Looks pretty convincing, Gang. I'm gonna make the switch... Remember, for the majority of you guys, this won't have any effect, as you're already regulars on the first of the month. 😊
