I know a lot of people complain about this fight, saying the animation is too wacky or inconsistent, but I just find it fucking badass-

This episode showed that the animators can really go wild for the big moments. It also showed a bit of a Subverting Expectations moment (not the Rian Johnson kind) with Asta not being controlled by his demon form like in other anime.

“In your presence, all magic is meaningless”. That’s a badass quote from the Witch Queen right there. Now that Asta can flow and emit anti-magic throughout his body, the story is about to pick up even more. This is a major level up.

In the manga Asta actually one shots Ladros like its nothing. The animators experimented a bit here and I respect what they were going for and I've seen some compare it to the bad animation that happened with Pain V Naruto, but I think thats unfair since that animation in Naruto was just plain bad. And similar to Mars, Ladros was not entirely himself, but once the stones broke, he regained full control over himself. Kind of like a hazy cloud blurring ones vision passing them by. Plus he felt humbled by Asta and has certainly come to respect his tenacity. Fana is the big bad! No its Ladros! No wait its actually The Queen! I kind of saw her turning on them coming, but with the blood crufixes and forcing Asta to kill his own comrades? Look, I appreciate a cold hearted, ruthless monarch, but theres something broken inside of that witches head.
