Color me surprised that Vangeance seems not to be Licht, even if he's obviously related somehow. For now I'll guess twin brother/alter ego of some kind.

Langris is a huge douche magoo. I'd argue he may be worse than Solid and Nebra as, while they're arrogant asshats, I don't think they'd sacrifice citizens so willingly like that. I mean if it came down to it, maybe, but not right out the gate. I kind of felt bad for Vangeance. He's a lot like Asta, Yuno, Gauche, Noelle, Finral, and Yami. Nobility looks down on him because he's not "normal". I mean how many stories have we heard where these nobles mistreat people and act all high and mighty like they earned their place, when they're just living off of their ancestor's name and wealth. This is why meritocracy >>>>>> aristocracy. Every. Single. Time. Edit: That end scene implied strongly that those three generals were thrown to the wolves so others could take their places. Basically get intel, promote some new people, and let those three be Clover's problem.
