Hayato is suprising. He was a terrorist who hated the government. He was a cunt as if any of his followers stepped outta line, he mutilated em. Tore of one guys face and removed the eyes, nose and ears of another. Hayato was physical strong, but his real valued trait was his genius. In later manga's he took and interest in Getter technology, working alongside Saotome to develop Shin Getter and later on, developing Getter Go and Getter Arc by himself. When he first appeared, he was a coward, having pissed himself when attacked by the first enemies they encountered. Musashi is the least assholish, he trained himself in the mountains to hone his strength and discipline as well as perfect his signiture move Daisetsuzan Oroshi. He's more comic relief heart of the team. But he was still badass willing to kill enemies Apparently, he wasn't intended for the manga being first used in the 70's tv series, with Saotome intended to be the 3rd Getter pilot. But his popularity and Saotomes age had him added as the 3rd Getter pilot in the manga.

Saotome as a professor was known for his more unscrupulous way of doing things. Not to say mecha profs were all kind old men with no flaws but, Saotome would do anything to defeat an enemy. He even burned to death his own mind controlled son. He personifies the mad scientist more.

The Shin Getter debuted in Getter Robo Go, later getting an origin story titled Shin Getter Robo. Shin Getter was designed to use Getter Rays to it it's fullest. It is said, that to reach full power,it would need to spend 3 years in space absorbing Getter Rays. Shin Getter was powerful but also unstable. In Shin getter, Ryoma tested it and it accelarated to the point he was forced into the seat and he suffered cardiac arrest. He was wearing a heavily fortified pilot suit at the time. Even at 40%, the Getter team was amazed at how much it exceeded even Getter Robo G.

As can see, Getters are formed from 3 jets. They can switch between 3 forms. OG Getter can become 1,2 and 3 and Getter G can become Dragon, Liger andPoseidon. This is what makes Getter effective as can seperate at any time and recombing into a form suited for the situation. 1/Dragon are all round combat andflight , 2/Liger for speed and ground/underground and 3/Poseiden durabilityand underwater.

Go is based on Go Ichimonji, lead character of Getter Go. However this Go is stoic were as manga Go was hot blooded. Also, he's got Gilgamesh's voice.

When Shin Getter fired it's Getter Beam, itcalls back to Shin Getter in Getter Go doing the same. In Go it took out a mountain.
