You probably seen the next episode already, so I'll say that this weird arc had one of my favorite endings. Oh, also, I think you misunderstood the joke in the beginning. Neither Shin nor Gin had any idea that Sadaharu ate a blowup doll. They thought it was a human body and that Sada finally killed someone and that they'd be blamed.
