It's amazing, watching society crumble like this! But the conflict at this tower is gonna be REALLY interesting in what it uncovers!

Oh hey idk if anybody told you this, but there are mid/post credit scenes in some of the later episodes. From a quick look people were saying 17, 18 and 22 at least had them

Makashima's clearly a fan of Science Fiction. He references George 1984, in an earlier episode we can actually see him reading it. His hacker friend also references William Gibson, the author of books like Neuromancer and Johnny Mnemonic (which was turned into a shitty movie starring Keanu Reeves) as Makashima says it's weird for a hacker to like Gibson. Since most of what he wrote about in terms of Hacking was based on an amateur's understanding of computers in the 1980s. Then we come to Philip K. Dick's Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. Which would later be the basis for the film Blade Runner. When you think about it he's right about the world of Psycho-pass being quite similar. The world in Androids is incredibly artificial people can even choose what kind of emotion they want to feel on a given day. There's also police that hunt down a specific minority of the population. In the case of Androids, it's near human robots, whereas in Psycho-pass it's latent criminals.
