Since nobody seems to have brought it up yet, the narrator in the dub has a completely different personality compared to the original's comically serious. It would be interesting to see your reaction to a compilation of dubbed scenes from this anime, if only to hear your opinion on the narrator, though considering that they (for some reason) dubbed the 2nd season first, you should probably wait until you've finished watching that.

Just in case you haven't noticed, Hayasaka, Kaguya's maid, is the actual best girl of the show. She's just working from the shadows and is tired of all this back and forth BS so goes straight to "both of you bang already!"

sad to say, but Chika's never getting her own big arc lol, the author's talked about this on bonus pages and character bios in the manga a few times, he doesn't think Chika has enough on her own to cover a full story, she's meant to be a pretty simple character who bounces off of others, I know there's other statements, but this is the big one I was able to find on her character. "Fujiwara is exactly who she is. She doesn't harbor any darkness. The fact that she doesn't have monologues was just an early idea of mine; at the time, I felt it was better to leave a little mystery somewhere. But now that the series has run for so long, that's not really necessary anymore. I draw Fujiwara like she's everyone's heroine. Please feel free to like her."[ Hayasaka's a great character as well lol, she's Kaguya's maid, but they've been close friends since they were really young, she tries to help Kaguya express her feelings more, but maybe she went a tad to far this episode lol, if you were confused about why she was disguised around Shirogane, it's because others at school aren't meant to know she works for the Shinomiya family, so she takes on a different persona at school, and uses disguises around others.

It's amazing how I'm finding that - while I really like Kaguya and the Prez - the surrounding characters are definitely becoming my favorites. 😊

Yeah, Hayasaka is still my best girl in this show and I'm sure you're going to like her more over time. I feel like this anime is like transitioning slowly from 1 step forward 2 steps back to just one step forward.
