You root for Tanya, but there are times you just want to slap her for letting her cockiness get the better of her. Also with this series, always watch past the ending show, there's always a nice short little after credits scene. I'm pretty sure you missed one in that little sliver. They're always a delight.

ok little extra info, when Tanya finished the Military college her name actually changes a little, she's no longer just Tanya Degurechaff, but Tanya Von Degurechaff now, she earned the right to give herself that title after joining the Twelve Knights of the college, meaning she was one of the top students that came from it, Von in Germany historically denotes that someone is from the nobility, but in this case she's able to earn it due to her higher military standing, she's worked her way up from nothing as a poor orphan to a higher up in the military with a noble name now, even with her memories of her past life helping her, that's still really impressive. by the way, there's actually a story about that big beautiful dining hall Tanya eats in at the end, there's a big battle of egos going on between the Army and Navy over it, apparently the Army blew its food related budget on making this the most elegant and extravagant looking dining hall they possibly could, sparing no expense on every little bell and whistle, except one, they forgot the most important aspect, hiring a good chef... so the place looks beautiful, but the food is so rancid and disgusting soldiers would rather have the dirt coffee they're served on the frontlines, in comparison the navy didn't blow its budget on an elegant dining hall, instead they hired one of the best chefs they possibly could, so while their dining hall looks meh, there food is to die for lol, so the top Navy officials laugh at the Army officials over it, so out of pride the Army will not let any soldier talk bad about the food, they must pretend that it's good.
