And this brings us back to the first part of this season, the Endeavor family arc as well as Hawks infiltrating the liberation army and warning Endeavor all comes after this. Season 6 has been announced for 2022, most likely summer or fall time slot.

To be fair to shigaraki, we are dealing with someone with a child like mindset that saw his family members not do anything but watch as his father treated him terribly. Its not surprising that he holds resentment toward them too because they just stood there and didn't protect him. I mean its not like the father was some big strong guy, he was just a rich business man that even a simple call to the police or child services could suffice. But the important part of this backstory i think is not to give shigaraki sympathy but to show that he is the new symbol of destruction that seeks to destroy everything especially society(hence why he started itching again when he noticed that people on the street would not help him either when he was just a little kid).

The Abyssal Drink

I really like how Shigaraki lost that strange edge to his voice, almost as if his self repression made it hard to speak. The sub doesn't do that, so this is a nice dub for the dub. Rare to see a dub do something innovative. Not as cool as, "Hai, Kazuma desu" but still appreciated.

Like Drink mentioned, my absolute favorite part of all of this is how Shigaraki's voice changed when he destroyed the arm on his face. He doesn't have that raspy edgyness anymore, he sounds more mature, a really cool detail symbolizing his change
