Whoa! That backstory was brutal and really helps to change the perspective on Shigaraki!

People hate Shigarakis father way too much, Kotaro was Nana shimuras son (all mights mentor who was killed by AFO and the 7th OFA user) and because of that knows that the family of heroes suffer so he imposed a rule and no different than in any house when the rule is broken they are punished, all hed do was puit them outside and yell sometimes aside from the day he died he never once got physical and when he did he immediately realised what he did wrong, regrets it and even offered to pay for his wife and in-laws to move out with the kids. Is he the best father? no. could he have handled it better? yes. but he was nowhere near as bad as someone like endeavor in his past or even Bakugou when he was still a bully

Noah

Right? I feel as if he gets a bit to much hate honestly, he could have handled it way better, but I don't think he was that bad.

I know you prob recorded this before your trip but alot of the talk that redestro and mla ppl saying in this arc isn't really "junk", its kind of world building and backstory adding to the league. Like the politician saying that spinner was a shut in bc of his quirk then we got a flashback to him being a shut in or when reporter lady was talking about toga's quirk and how she can't control her urge of blood bc of her quirk. I like to think of it as like little backstory tidbits to add more to the backstory of the leagues

Hesitant to watch this, only ever watched this episode the one time and it was too much. As much as I wanna see your reaction, may end up skipping past that scene. That poor dog, oh and rest of the family too.

It's interesting to see how Shigaraki's past is similar to Midoria when he was a kid. Shigaraki wanted to be a hero, he even looks very similar to MIdoria when he was a kid. Shigiraki had a father who didn't like heroes and Midoria didn't have a quirk so he couldn't become a hero. It's an example of how how two people who are very similar could end up as complete opposites when they grow up depending on what happens to them in life. There's always the joke that if Hitler hadn't failed to get into art school we wouldn't have had Nazi Germany heh.

There's some heavy censorship at work in this arc. It's actually kinda funny, hearing Twice talk about how messed up Toga's face is and it looking perfectly normal, if a bit dirty xD

fun fact, the scene with toga at the beginning originally actually got the author in a bit of hot water and he had to issue a public appology because of it. they changed the dialouge at the beginning a little, but in the manga it was stated that toga actually had refused to being measured by twice before, as she's " a girl after all", as twice put it in the manga, and she didn't want her measurements to be known. so the scene was actually him directly violating toga's wishes and "taking advantage of her while she was unconcious" by taking her measurements anyways. of course, given the circumstances, it was pretty much the only thing he could do at the moment, but it still managed to upset enough people to become a thing for a while.

An important detail is that Shigaraki’s family all died in a way which represents how they were in life. The dog died comforting Shigaraki. Hana died trying to protect herself. His mother died rushing to him to help. His grandparents died just standing by and watching. And his father died lashing out violently. All of them responded the same way they had to him throughout their lives and it’s such a beautiful piece of symbolism.

Love how decay has bloody bits in this episode as opposed to before. The only time you ever got blood was if the body never fully decayed (Eraser Head when Shigaraki first attacked) and if something did fully decay, it was dust. But here, everything reverts albeit in pieces and so blood is everywhere! It tickles my giblets to see dark shit. By the by, I've always wanted to comment that they way you act on camera with Braxton and the way you act by yourself is so interesting. Both are good and weird, but your intros got really weird when you weren't alone. Respect.
