Just caught up to watching the current episode, just wanted to point out they cut out a song during episode 48 in the dub, in the sub it starts 14:46 into the episode, the song is the red ribbons army theme song here is the youtube link to the whole song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CtTsUmUFDaY

I guess Bulma was the prepared adventurer and brought an extra pair of panties lol. Good catch btw I didn't notice that

here's an interesting change the dub made, in the original Japanese the pirate robot was completely silent, that's why they never comment on it talking, oh and if you hadn't noticed, the robots head design is probably inspired by Ridley Scott's Alien, Toriyama really likes to take inspiration from that design, he's used it a lot in Dragonball and Dr Slump

Just caught up to your reactions which has also been my first watchthrough of the full show. The Red Ribbon Army are honestly underwhelming to me as enemies. I know it's not DBZ or DBS levels of badassery from the villains, but when a fossil pirate robot has been the biggest challenge so far? Ehhhhh. I have been told later villains are much more intimidating like Piccolo, but I'm skipping ahead of ya, so I'll be sure to keep spoilers in mind when I comment here. And yeah, Bulma is irritating as hell. She has her moments, but my god... XD Hope you're enjoying the Disney trip!

So far they really suck apart from henchmen like Major Metallitron and that monster in Muscle Tower. Still a nice step up from Pilaf, though. It will change later. For now, it's more of a light-hearted adventure featuring a horrible army.

Ahhhhh the memories and fun in this series, the enemies are weak, but as you said I love seeing goku put people in their place
