I have a lot of problems with Endeavor, but I gotta admit, I'd like to see his family heal, if only for the kids.

Brother E

This season isn’t really my favorite, being the reason why I haven’t said too much on these episodes, but I will say Endeavor’s redemption has to be one of the best character developments I have seen. Hori (the author) has done a great job at establishing the realism of life’s blemishes never fading from an individual’s past and Endeavor really sets that tone of a never ending battle for forgiveness. Every step forward for him and then there’s two steps backwards; it’s a constant tug of war for redemption and it’s a relatable dynamic on people going through similar challenges in real life. In the manga, Endeavor is still trying to gain redemption in some degrees and I appreciate how this character’s development is meant to be build as something long term as opposed to most other series when it takes an arc for redemption. It’s more realistic with the Endeavor approach.

Don’t worry Curtis, Toya wasn’t really mentioned before but you probably know this by now. There are some more speculations about his story though other than the backstory they give you

A

Yeah, Toya was only mentioned this season. Natsuo mentions him very quickly in passing when listing his grievances toward Endeavor: "...you still neglected us. Mom's screams. Shoto's crying. What happened to our big brother, Toya." Endeavor burning incense for him and what Natsuo said suggests Toya died. And Natsuo blames Endeavor for some reason.

I just hope they don't take the traditional manga "and then he and his wife got back together" route. That bothered the fuck out of me in Assassination Classroom. Abused and their abusers should never get back together (relationship-wise), for both their sakes. It's extremely unhealthy and likely to result in relapse for both parties. So I just hope they don't do that here. Though they could become friends (at best) in the end. Could be a nice ending for them.

Toya has actually been teased for a long time now, he's been in Shoto's flashbacks of him remembering his brothers and sister playing without him since early season 2, but he looked a bit different then compared to this photo, they just never really addressed him by name till this season. Burning incense for a photo in a family shrine is a way of remembering the dead in Japan, so Endeavor is praying for his first Son Toya, the one Natsuo says he won't forgive him for what happened to him. Endeavor's redemption is actually one of the better character arcs I've seen in mainstream shonen, it's a very risky gamble to try and make a domestic abuser redeemable, but I think it's done really well, I'm caught up with the manga, so I've obviously got a different perspective, but I think they do a really good job of fleshing his redemption out and making you want to see him reach it.
