Few things, as this is my second watch, and also have read the manga, the amount of foreshadowing in this episode alone is insane, just like with almost any episode! Also, Zoro is so fucking cool. Always has been, but this episode is so cool

Today is the 22nd Anniversary of the One Piece anime! 900 episodes, wow this adventure flew by fast! The anime is currently on 995, so by the time you catch up the anime should be around 1013-1015. That’s gonna be extremely hype episodes like on Marineford level excitement! I can’t wait.

Wano is heavily influenced by Japanese legends and culture just so you know, so pretty much everything you'll see in this arc references them in some way or another. For example, Orochi is from a famous folklore about Yamata no Orochi, I won't say much right now to avoid potential spoilers, but yeah, Orochi translates into large serpent, you've probably seen a lot of references to Orochi in anime without realizing it.

Just mentioning the meaning of Orochi’s name is basically a spoiler, I think he’s the biggest piece of shit but even I consider just associating the large serpent is dead on spoiling some important plot point. Seems a bit unnecessary to bring up anything Orochi related right now.

Oh no no no. Orochimaru from Naruto is fun and he's got his quirks and oddities, but he's not so bad. Orochi on the other hand... Well, you'll soon see. I suppose you can say he's the Joffrey Lannister/Myne type. But yeah, the bat and gazelle pair we saw here are known as "Gifters" they ate that fruit Doffy was supplying and became Zoan fruit users. They're the namesake of "Beast Pirates" lots of Zoan users here. Whole Cake Arc = Candyland Wano Arc = Jumanji

Ehhhhh Orochimaru never had quirks and oddities until he was made a sidepiece and had comedic elements thrown in. I'd like to remind you this is the dude who experimented on dozens of children and caused the deaths of hundreds when he was switching bodies, not to mention killed our old boi Jokage 'not so bad' doesn't really qualify him. But yeah, him and Orochi ain't nothing alike, as i'm sure Curtis will realize for himself lol
