How ironic that were in Halloween season and Hawkins is back in the picture! He has a weird ass power and that straw thing’s laugh is so damn creepy

Guys I know we all have a lot of excitement and expectations for this arc but let’s try extra hard not to spoil anything for Curtis. Including overhyping. Don’t influence expectations for characters that haven’t come to happen organically from the episodes yet. And remember Curtis is still 100 episodes behind. Don’t share things we find out during this arc.

I'm glad Curtis enjoyed it and all, but I've seen bumper-to-bumper LA rush-hour traffic that moved faster than this episode.

The Abyssal Drink

As I've mentioned before some episodes have padding issues and this is one of the worst. The manga will always have scenes far shorter than anime since manga can't take the time to show multiple small movements, but this doesn't even come close to a justified transition. The manga had the transformation and card usage happen quickly so no time for Zoro and Luffy to really react and then the Koma inu (dog) picked them up quickly as well. Zoro and Luffy also can't just attack hawkins as his power is really weird and with multiple life hacks it would be reckless. Hawkins only said if I have ten dolls than I have ten lives. He could have more. One should never reveal their cards after all.

tbh who cares? The anime is doing perfectly fine with the padding, I would most definitely say Toei has done this arc more justice than Oda rushing through things in the manga. Honestly believe not everything needs to be nitpicked
