I haven't actually watched season 4 yet. Life got too busy and it just sat on my very large to-do list of entertainment, so now I'll be watching it here.

I'm not sure if I can say it is better than season 2, because Dracula was amazing in that season, but it is damn near as good as it at least.

Season 4 is great. I love the start where they show you the past number of weeks. It sets such an ominous tone and shows you just how exhausted they are. And now we get the great terror of London, Varney. I just the cockney douche, he cracks me up.
