Congratulations Curtis! You’re FINALLY caught up to the CURRENT ARC! I just wanted to tell you as someone who’s been here since Day One, it’s unbelievable to see how much you’ve grown with this series and how it has impacted you. (idk if you remember all of this) BUT I’ll never forget back in 2017 when you were still doing the old video clip live streams and when the series One Piece was first mentioned you said “I am not so sure if I see myself getting into a story about buccaneer pirates fighting on the seas”. Afterwards I had you watch the series of clips with Shanks giving Luffy the Strawhat, then I remember you got very intrigued. So then I had you watch compilation clips of the first few episodes all the way to Luffy defeating Buggy and recruiting Nami. That’s when you got hooked on the idea of someday watching the series. Then a year later you finally began this amazing journey.....and now we’re here! And to have everyone here who joined since the very beginning or those who caught up along the way. To FINALLY reach this point is monumental! This has been such a LONG and FUN journey to get to this point! When you first started the series we all joked with you that there were only a few more episodes left until you were up to date, unfortunately now that bittersweet joke is soon to become reality. As you are now in Wano; this will be the final stride before you are caught up with all of us. So let’s all come together to celebrate these final days, as you watch THE BEST ARC in the series WANO!! I Hope You Enjoy! .....and we’ll meet you on THE ROOF! 😉

Oh you'll notice zoro is embracing his inner mihawk. Kicking ass with a tiny blade. They really have been saving up the budget for this arc. You're definitely going to love it.

Yeah, after about 900 chapters/episodes, Oda got tired of having to draw Luffy and Zoro so he drowned Luffy before the arc could really start and had Zoro kill himself in the first episode.

Here’s something cool to know, the author Oda’s all time favorite One Piece scene is in this episode. It’s the beginning of the episode where the curtains open and you see the full landscape of Wano as the cherry blossoms are blooming. 🌸

The Abyssal Drink

Something to note about Wano, there are some scenes that aren't even in the manga. Zoro's arrest is one such scene. The chapter it's in just appears with Zoro at the "trial". It's padding but also so Oda can move through the story. Makes the anime even better for manga readers in a way. Most of it is fine, but there are a few glaring ones. They will be mentioned when they arrive.

Jeez, its been a hot minute since we last saw God Usopp, Nico Robin, SUUUUPER Franky, and Zoro. But yeah, the next dozen-ish episodes are the prologue of the Wano arc. What I adore about this arc is that while there is some padding, no episode feels wasted. The pacing gets back into the grove of things.

Zoro and Robin's new looks are probably my fav of the Wano disguises. Especially in the anime with the color and this new art style.

So fun fact, the Wano arc is sorta styled after a kabuki play. You can see it with the curtains opening and there are titled acts even. Really cool way of doing things in my opinion. Also some of the best side content and story we've gotten in the entire series as whole, I'm SUUUUPERRR excited to see your reaction man!
