Bonney is from the Sorbet Kingdom where Kuma was once its king before he joined the Revolutionaries. She and Sabo have the same goal of saving Kuma from enslavement. Kuma being enslaved is horrifying for two reasons; the poor man is suffering and The WG got what they wanted out of him. The former being that we like Kuma since he saved both The Strawhats and The Sunny and the latter being an indicator that the Pacifista project may be complete and who knows how much stronger those androids will be. Bonney always struck me as an oddball amongst the Worst Generation as she's the only one so far who's been in the background while her fellow Worst Generation compadre's have been making messes everywhere. I think Oda is saving her for some Straw Hat & Revolutionaries vs World Government & Celestial Dragon shenanigans

The Abyssal Drink

It doesn't matter that you know everything turns out fine after Kuma pops them all away, it still hurts to watch. Also, I like most of Bonney's design, but the face piercing shit throws me off so hard. I can't ignore the face and admire the body alone. Got to have the whole package as a cohesive unit.

Way back when Kuma was properly introduced, he had the title of The Tyrant: "A man who had committed every atrocity known to man"........ whiiich propably just translates to "fucked with the Celestial Dragons"
