Luffy has FINALLY reached the peak of the summit as an "Emperor". He's almost there to being on Shanks level and finally reuniting with him! This arc is gonna be very helpful for Curtis and his brain damage, it should cover recap for every arc since the beginning.

While the next arc is the longest in the series and is still ongoing, Wano goddamn Kuni has been a serious gem to read and watch. I'm so excited for you to see it!

Asking now before it just gets skipped as filler. There are some upcoming "Filler" segments. The first are 2 episodes that are supposed to be a movie tie-in for One Piece: Stampede, I think it's easily skippable. But episode 907 is marked as "Filler" but it's the Romance Dawn special, which is an animated version of a different draft of the first chapter of One Piece that Oda wrote. I think it's definitely worth a watch, but I'd understand if people wanted to skip it, for some reason.

For once in this series, the majority of the fanbase were in agreement with a not-very-favorite character, which i think only has a cameo next episode so im sure you know who im talking about (Although i'll keep hush just in case) Point of it being, Luffy is an Emperor in abstract title only. He is nowhere near ready to be an actual Emperor of the Sea. Consider this: Out of everything we know so far from whats been said or shown in the show, Kaido is hailed as 'the strongest being in the world', Shanks was someone who not only the Blackbeard pirates AND the Navy didn't want to tussle with, but someone who actually beat Kaido back so he wouldn't get involved in the Marinford War. And finally you have Blackbeard who has both his DarkDark fruit and Whitebeards fruit, and has had 2 years to master both and assemble his crew. Then finally, you have Big Mom, now this isn't to say shes the weakest of the Emperors atm (it is somewhat implied though) but shes also someone who Luffy had a near death experience with just beating her top son, not even Big Mom herself. To be an Emperor means to be insanely strong, so strong only another Emperor could beat you back, to own your own fleet and to conquer islands as your territory. Currently, Luffy has one of those things, and even his fleet was kinda imposed on him. Knowing all this, can anyone genuinely say Luffy is Emperor material right now? I wouldn't say so. He's damn close, probably the closest out of anyone from the Worst Generation (barring Blackbeard who IS one), but he's not QUITE there yet. How will he manage to make the jump up there though, is something to really wonder : )

I'm not sure Kaido and Shanks ever clashed. Shanks has serious Talk-no-Jutsu game. I doubt he would have arrived at Marineford in time, considering how long clashes between emperors tend to last. Unless by "beat back", you mean he convinced Kaido to turn around somehow :D

Edit: at about 19:30 Not sure if you missed it, but that was Crocodile smiling at Luffy causing mayhem. I love how Croc is amused with Luffy's shenanigans. XD
