Glad you enjoyed the extended meeting/dialogue, cause there's a lot of it in this season heh. Most anime series tend to gloss over long conversation sections in the original novels for the sake up keeping up the pace. I believe they could have actually combined last season and this season into a single anime season if they had wanted (last season had quite a lot of fluff in the middle that wasn't all that vital to the main story). So while there will be a lot more talking it does allow the world/characters to be fleshed out more.

ok here's some little details that were cut out of the anime, before Rimuru went to meet the kids in season 1, he actually spent a little time in Blumund as an adventurer and doing a little diplomatic work with it's king setting up trade agreements and a non aggression pact agreeing to assist each other if they were ever under threat, they actually sort of reference it here, since it's the reason Blumund's king is so willing to give Rimuru support now. The other thing they cut out is seeing the king of Falmuth in Rimuru's dungeon, they only briefly reference that Shion is "interrogating" him in the anime, in the manga we actually see them talk, she's been given permission to interrogate him in any way she likes, short of killing him, she tells him she doesn't hate him for being responsible for her death, as a Kijin she blames her own weakness for her that, what she can't forgive is the fact he's responsible for "making Rimuru stain his pristine hands with blood" then off screen we can hear him being tortured by Shion as the priest from the holy church Rimuru captured before watches in fear. Rimuru shows up later but the king mistakes him for a little girl until he puts his mask on, then he begs for forgiveness and Rimuru tells him that he should be begging his own people for forgiveness in stead for the long suffering they're about to face because of him, and that "this is the karma you and I bear" Also the king is still missing his hand after Rimuru shot it off, just felt like reminding you of that lol

The Blumund agreement and visit was actually covered briefly in the first half of the season As for the interrogation, that’s covered next episode so you actually spoiled that part of the next episode

Clayman being voiced by Takehito Koyasu who is also Roswaal is oddly fitting 😅 (also Dio and Kuzan. Speaking of OP the clown who talked to Clayman at the end is voiced by Kazuya Nakai who is Zoro)

Also apparently Takehito Koyasu and Kazuya Nakai have great onscreen chemistry since they are the Valentine brothers from Hellsing
