I love noblesse, although I haven't seen the anime past like 2 or 3 episodes when it came out, the comic is really great.

also, the story starts a couple arcs in to the story, it's not the biggest deal, but a lot of these characters have already been introduced in t he comic but the anime decided to start ahead

love Noblesse, I read the web manhwa years ago, the series is actually Korean and I'm pretty sure it's meant to be set in Korea, not Japan in the Manhwa. The series actually isn't meant to be confusing at this point... it's just for some reason the anime skips the entire first arc which should have taken like 12-24 episodes lol. So you miss all the character introductions and world building, like finding out who the main characters really are, and meeting M21 and M24. There's an Ova they made years ago that covers the first arc, it's well animated, but even it skips over a ton of stuff, it was more to just see some of the fights animated. This adaptation was one of Crunchroll's "original series" that they started doing last year, basically series they funded themselves, they've been... kind of messy unfortunately, we've got good series from it honestly, like Noblesse and So I'm a spider, so what? but we also got Ex-Arm, which is seen as one of the worst anime out there, and High Guardian Spice which we wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be a money laundering scheme at this point lol. Oh also that was an after credits scene at the end, not a teaser for next episode, it was just seeing 2 future characters.

Ah, okay, that makes sense. I thought this was one of those cases where we meet characters, then go on a journey to learn about them… Turns out they just skipped the learning process. 😄

As others have said, this has skipped the first arc, but I wanted to bring up something else, kinda trivial you noticed, when he said he was waiting for the food to multiply, what he meant by that is that he was eating Ramen and as you probably know you add water and wait sometime for it to cook, so that happened with him, they gave him Ramen, told him to wait the time for it too cook and in his perspective cause the noodles absorbed the water and grew in size, he thought it multiplied, so now he waits for it lol. It's been a while since I've read the manhwa (never watched the anime) and can't remember if he tries it with other food but at least for Ramen it's a running gag him waiting for the food to multiply

Yeah the first episode is confusing to most people I think. But I'm glad you like it, it'll make more sense as it goes on and also gets better :)

There is a 30 min animated intro to the series that is out on youtube. I recommend watching that to get a proper introduction
