This is why Luffy is one of the greatest; he went through hell for a long time, nearly shredded his arms in captivity, and starved himself to death while never breaking his promise to rescue Sanji with his joyful charm. I can’t think of any other fictional character like Luffy who would be willing to go such extreme lengths of being with his friends in their dark times. Hands down Luffy is one of the best well written characters.

Brook just casually saying "Yeah, I got all 3, so anyways..." and everyone's all "BRUUUH!!!?" My jaw dropped first time watching that scene. I honestly don't know what Bobbin(the guy who got shot)'s endgame was. If he hurts or kills Sanji, Big Mom's entire scheme goes up in flames and he would no doubt die. Whoever shot him likely spared him the pain either Sanji or Big Mom would put him through.

It is at this point that i declare Brook the MVP of this arc, how he managed to grab and secure all 3 rubbings AND keep them hidden while going toe to toe with Big Mom is beyond me, but he gets a certified badass seal for that.

I wouldn't say toe to toe... I'd say he held his own there for a while. He was more badass than any of us expected though.
