Huh. I never saw this episode when I watched the series. I'm surprised they just dropped Diablo's name like that, since it's still a little while before he shows up properly. It'll be interesting to see if/how this changes things rewatching it.

Such a great teaser for that introduction of Kuro/Diablo in this episode. Can't wait for you to learn more about him and his relationship with Rimuru

yeah Diablo doesn't show up until a decent bit later in the manga, I don't know if this bit is maybe from the original light novels or not, but from where I'm at in the manga we haven't had any of his backstory, we just meet him and he's a mystery, they haven't even explained the trinity of progenitors thing yet in the manga, it's still cool to see, my guess is this was probably a side story at the end of one of the light novel volumes. it sort of reminds me of when we met Yunyun early in the Konosuba OVA's before she's actually meant to show up in the series, it's a good thing you're skipping Slime's OVAs they have some spoilers in them for season 2. Diablo is fascinating to me honestly, he's very different then the other characters in the series, I'm somewhat reminded of Sebastian and the demons from Black Butler kind of, but I'll save going into detail about him until he actually shows up properly in the show.
