Episode 69, nice. With the, let's call it distant and aggressive (especially towards Hange), attitude Eren has portrayed up to this point in the season, I think this could be dubbed the "Eren, what's going on in that head of yours, please don't end up being a villain" arc. At least that's what was going through my head when watching it.

Eren laughing was indeed a form of grieving. In fact we've seen him react with laughter in a similar situation before, when Hannes died in the Season 2 finale. It's just how he copes with situations like these. Connie and the others however do not know this, making it seem pretty heartless from their perspective.
